I am a landscape photographer from Fort Worth, Texas.
I photograph the big open country of Texas and the American west.
The focus of my work is west Texas out in the deserts and mountains beyond the Pecos River, the Great Plains and Rocky Mountain West. My travels have also taken me into the north woods and Gulf Coast and you will find a few galleries from those locations as well.

I always seem to have a camera (or three) with me.
My calling is the wild landscape, however I also find interest in the historic landscape of farming, ranching, churches, railroads, and rock art. You will see some of those images have made their way into my portfolio.
I have had several articles published at NatureScapes and Nature Photographers Network online magazines. You can find stories linked on my blog.

Me going for something different than the norm at Delicate Arch in Arches National Park.
My regular kit includes a 4x5 large format view camera, a DSLR, and two tripods. Yes, I carry all of it and yes, it is a large backpack.

I travel wherever the opportunity presents itself. Give me a four day weekend and you are likely to find me somewhere in west Texas.
Oddly enough (to most folks) I enjoy winter in the north woods as much as the deserts of the southwest. There is just something about being out photographing in sub-zero weather....
15 below in a frozen marsh on the Mississippi River and having fun.
See you in the field!
