I am a landscape photographer from Fort Worth, Texas.

I photograph the big open country of Texas and the American west. The focus of my work is west Texas out in the deserts and mountains beyond the Pecos River. I have also included images I have made on travels across the Rocky Mountain west and the north woods.

I travel wherever the opportunity presents itself. Give me a four day weekend and you are likely to find me somewhere in west Texas.

Oddly enough (to most folks) I enjoy winter in the north woods as much as the deserts of the southwest. There is just something about being out photographing in sub-zero weather....

I always seem to have a camera (or three) with me.

My calling is the wild landscape, however I also find interest in the historic landscape of farming, ranching, churches, railroads, and rock art. You will see some of those images have made their way into my portfolio.

I also have done a whole series of images of my camera on location and went as far to start a blog just on that. You can check that out at:

My regular kit includes a 4x5 large format view camera, a DSLR, and two tripods. Yes, I carry all of it and yes, it is a large backpack.

Here I am set up overlooking the Maverick Badlands in Big Bend National Park.
